Who are we?
Somos un grupo de estudiantes con mucha ilusión de ser parte de este gran proyecto del colegio Humanitas Bilingual School Torrejón. Nuestro colegio está en la Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid y siempre ha estado muy implicado en el proyecto MEPAS, tanto así que hemos sido nombrados escuela mentora.

Nosotros somos adolescentes de 15/16 años que actualmente estamos cursando 4º de la ESO. En total somos 18 estudiantes, y hemos formado un grupo muy bonito con el que vamos a realizar grandes cosas a lo largo de este curso. ¡Europa está en nuestras manos!
Embajadores europeos 2022-23/ European ambassadors 2022-23
We are a group of students that are very excited to be part of this awesome project from Humanitas Bilingual School Torrejon. Our school is located in the Autonomous Comunity of Madrid and has always been very involved in the MEPAS project, and because of this we have been named mentor school.We are 15/16 year old teenagers that are currently coursing 4th of ESO. In total, we are 18 students and we have formed a very beautiful and special group in which we are going make big things along this school year. Europe is in our hands!

Instagram posts
¡Seguimos trabajando en ello! Hemos elegido diversos posts de Instagram de temas como mujeres científicas o la salud mental. En parejas hemos realizado la siguiente actividad: en un papel continuo hemos recortado un cuadrado y hemos dibujado, calcado y coloreado nuestros posts. Ahora nos estamos encargando de la mesa en la que quedarán expuestas todas nuestras actividades y muy pronto colocaremos todos nuestros increíbles posts. ¡Estad atentos para ver los resultados!
We are still working on it! We have chosen various instagram posts about different topics like women in science or mental health. In pairs, we have done the next activity: in a continuous paper, we have cut off a square in which we have drawn, colored and traced our post. Now we are also working on the table and the area where we are going to show all our activities. We will post everything very soon. Stay tuned!

Después de trabajar tanto, por fin... ¡Hemos terminado nuestro Infopoint y el resultado ha sido increíble! Nuestro infopoint consta de varios elementos; los posts presentados en el apartado anterior, fotos de guapísimos jóvenes europeos (nosotros), una maqueta del parlamento Europeo de Bruselas y ``Europa´´ en 3D, hecho de cartón. También contamos con unos libros que proporcionan información de la Unión Europea y elementos informativos colgados del techo. Y sin más dilación, los embajadores junior os presentamos... ¡El Infopoint!

After so much hard work, finally.... We have finished our Infopoint and the result was amazing! Our infopoint consists of several elements; the posts presented in the previous section, pictures of beautiful young Europeans (us), a model of the European Parliament in Brussels and 'Europe' in 3D, made of cardboard and informative elements that are hanging from de ceiling . We also have some books that provide information about the European Union. And without more waiting, the junior ambassadors present to you... The Infopoint!

La campaña ÚNETE para poner fin a la violencia contra las mujeres es una iniciativa plurianual que tiene por objetivo prevenir y eliminar la violencia contra las mujeres y las niñas en todo el mundo.
Puesta en marcha en 2008, la campaña del Secretario General de las Naciones Unidas se creó para dar apoyo a la iniciativa mundial de la sociedad civil 16 Días de activismo contra la violencia de género.
La campaña ÚNETE está coordinada por ONU Mujeres e insta a Gobiernos, a la sociedad civil, a organizaciones de mujeres, a jóvenes, al sector privado, a medios de comunicación y a todo el sistema de las Naciones Unidas a que unan sus fuerzas para atender la pandemia de violencia contra las mujeres y las niñas.
El tema global para el año 2022 en la campaña 16 Días de activismo contra la violencia de género, que se celebra del 25 de noviembre al 10 de diciembre, es “¡ÚNETE! Activismo para poner fin a la violencia contra las mujeres y las niñas”.

The campaign JOIN to end gender-based violence against women in an initiative mutiannual which aims to prevent and eliminate violence against women and girls around the world.
Launched in 2008, the campaign of the General Secretary of the United Nations was created to support the global civil initiative 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.
The campaign JOIN is coordinated by United Nations Women and invites goverments, civil society, women´s organisations, youth, the private sector, the media and the entire United Nations systemto join forces to address the pandemic of violence against women and girls.
The global theme for the year 2022 in 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Volence campaign, which runs from the 25 of November to the 10 of December, is ``JOIN! Activism to end violence against women and girls´´.

Hoy, 27 de enero de 2023, hemos visitado la Universidad IE en Madrid para acudir a la ceremonia "Pregunta a la presidenta del Parlamento Europeo, Roberta Metsola". Ha sido un verdadero placer poder pregutar y escuchar a la presidenta, al igual que haber podido compartir esta visita con otras escuelas embajadoras. A continuación os adjuntamos el vídeo que hemos hecho para documentar cada momento de la visita.
Today, January 27th, we have visited the IE University in Madrid to attend the "Ask the president of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola" ceremony. It was a great pleasure to ask and listen to the president, as well as sharing this space with other ambassador schools. The video that we made to document the day is attached down below.
Día Internacional del Holocausto
Hoy, 27 de Enero, se celebra el Día Internacional del Holocausto. Para recordar que hoy hacen 78 años de lo sucedido, hemos decidido presentarles a los alumnos de algunos cursos del centro este hecho histórico de forma didáctica. De esta forma, los alumnos podrán conocer en profundidad lo sucedido, explicado por sus compañeros.
Nuestros embajadores, se han dividido en grupos y cada uno ha elaborado un juego para diferentes cursos, presentándolo durante el día.
Today, January 27, International Holocaust Day is celebrated. To remember that today it is 78 years since what happened, we have decided to present this historical fact to the students of different grades of the school in a didactic way. In this way, students will be able to know in depth what happened, explained by their classmates. Our ambassadors have been divided into groups and each one has developed a game for different grades, presenting them during the day.
VIAJE A ESTRASBURGO
Día 1: 8/02/2023
Empezamos nuestro viaje en el Aeropuerto Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas. Cogimos el vuelo y llegamos a Estrasburgo a las 17:47. Desde el aeropuerto cogimos un tren y un autobús para llegar al hotel Ciarus, recomendado por el programa Euroscola. Dejamos todo el equipaje para después disfrutar de una cena en grupo. Más tarde, al llegar al hotel, tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer y compartir experiencias con otros alumnos europeos.
Our trip started at the Madrid Barajas Airport. We catch the flight and landed in Strasburg at 17:17. From the airport, we took a train and a bus, and we arrived to the Ciarus, a hotel recommended by the Euroscola programm. Dejamos todo el equipaje para después disfrutar de una cena en grupo. Más tarde, al llegar al hotel, tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer y compartir experiencias con otros alumnos europeos.
